Consistent performance always

I've used Crowdcast for my webinars multiple times now, mostly on the Pro Plan. This latest event was just as smooth as previous ones. The multi-stream to social media feature is still a lifesaver. It's reliable, which is why I keep coming back instead of trying other platforms like Livestorm.

Easy to use for podcast recordings

My friend suggested Crowdcast for recording a live podcast and it worked out pretty well. Didn't have to download anything, which was nice. The chat moderation tools were handy too. It was just a chill way to do a live session, nothing too complicated. Pretty happy with how simple it was to get going.

Solid value with annual plan

I needed a platform for a series of online classes and was comparing options. The 14-day free trial let me test out the Pro Plan features, which was great. Decided to go with the annual billing to get the 2 months free. It made the overall cost much more manageable compared to paying monthly on Zoom. Felt like a good investment for what I got.

Crowdcast is fantastic!

Oh my gosh, Crowdcast is just amazing! I hosted a book launch with them and everything went perfectly. The call to action buttons were so easy to use and boosted my sales. I especially loved the mobile app streaming option for my co-host. Will definitely be using them again for all my future events!

Good for online workshops

Used Crowdcast for an online workshop last week. Setting it up was straightforward. The live video streaming worked without any issues, and the Q&A sessions were easy for attendees to use. Happy with how it went overall.

Decent platform, some small quirks

I tried out Crowdcast for a virtual summit. The browser-based events and replay hosting were really convenient for attendees. Setting up custom registration fields was also pretty simple. The only minor complaint I have is that the event analytics could be a bit more detailed. It's good, but there's room to grow there. Still, it handled a multi-session event well.

Can I upgrade my plan anytime? Say I start with Lite and then need Pro for a bigger event.

R Rachel R. 1 month ago
Yep, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan whenever you need to. It's pretty flexible.

Yeah, changing plans is easy. I went from Pro to Business for a big summit and then back down with no issues.

What happens if I accidentally go over my attendee limit for an event? Will it just cut people off?

B Betty 1 month ago
I think if you exceed it, they'll usually contact you to upgrade or charge you for the extra attendees, but it won't just boot people out mid-event, I don't think. Better to check your plan limits though.

E Ella Mitchell 1 month ago
From what I remember reading, they usually let the extra attendees in but might charge you for the overflow, or prompt you to upgrade. It's not like the event just stops working.

My non-profit is looking for a webinar solution, does Crowdcast offer any special pricing for non-profits?

J Jacob King 2 weeks ago
I'm pretty sure they do! I've seen mentions of non-profit discounts. You'd probably have to contact their sales team directly or check the pricing page for details.

They typically have non-profit pricing. Worth reaching out to them to ask, they're usually pretty good about that kind of thing.

Are there any discounts for paying annually instead of monthly? Seems like most services offer that.

M Mark T. 1 month ago
Definitely. You usually save around 20% if you go with the annual plan. It's a good chunk of change if you know you'll be using it for a while.

Yeah, they incentivize annual payments. I think it's like two months free or something similar compared to the monthly cost.

Anyone tried comparing Crowdcast vs Livestorm? I'm torn between the two for my online classes.

J Justin P. 2 weeks ago
I used Livestorm for a bit, but found Crowdcast's interface a bit more intuitive for attendees, especially with the Q&A and chat. Plus, the multi-streaming options are better on Crowdcast if you ever want to push to social.

I haven't used Livestorm much, but Crowdcast has been solid for my classes. The custom registration fields and email integrations make it easy to manage students.

Is it easy to set up paid events on Crowdcast? Like for ticket sales and stuff.

C Chris 1 month ago
Super easy. It integrates directly with Stripe, so you can set up tickets and payments right there. They handle the transaction too, though there's a small fee per ticket, I think.
2
J James M. 1 month ago
Yeah, it's pretty straightforward. Connects with Stripe, you set your price, and people can buy tickets directly through the event page. Just watch out for the transaction fees, they add a percentage on top of Stripe's fees.
